Community Advisory Council

As per The Scarborough Hospital’s new bylaws, a Community Advisory Council has been established. This group meets monthly and reports to the Board of Directors at each meeting.

MANDATE:

The role of the Community Advisory Council is to help ensure that The Scarborough Hospital and Board of Directors are accountable and transparent to all the community.

To do this, the Council will:

  • Provide input to The Scarborough Hospital’s community engagement strategy and participate as appropriate;
  • Act as educational resource for The Scarborough Hospital, the Board of Directors and the community;
  • Participate in the review and development of TSH policies, programs and services consistent with the needs of the community;
  • On behalf of the community, challenge The Scarborough Hospital Board and staff to continually strive for excellence in the delivery of healthcare;
  • Support The Scarborough Hospital as it strives to become the centre of excellence in healthcare for the global community; and
  • Promote Scarborough and advocate for the unique and diverse health needs of the community

 

MEETINGS:

Meetings are open to members of the public, and will be held at the Birchmount campus at 6:30 p.m. on the dates below.
